Basic Chords

in the first period the students are learning the C, G, and F chord: in a movie you can see how to be played the 3 basic chords at the right way. pay attention: play with the right fingers!

Chords/Scales

wrong use of symboles:

• CM = dont exist(!); big mistake because some kind of home-keyboards shows it in the display. it means a C-major (C), and therefore it shows a capital M. But as a chordsymbol it dont exists!.
• C4 = this means: Csus4.
• C2 i got no idea: it means Csus2 (c,d,g) or, Cadd2 (c,d,e,g).

Virtual keyboard

the chords will show the root inversion ! you've got to make the 1st or 2nd inversion by yourself.

first choose the root, and second the chord or scale!

a few examples, how to use the 'virtuele toetsenbord';

1. you want a Esus4: click root the E, and chords: sus4.
2. you want a F-minor blues-scale: click F. and scale: Minor Blues.
3. at the right, a little more difficult, you can type a formula. use the Enter as Scale: type 4,3 and it will get a major chord. Or 4,3,4 if you want a minor chord. If you change the root; dont forget to click the 'show'

example: C-chord (c-e-g) and the inversions

• grondligging = root inversion
• 1ste omkering = 1st inversion
• 2de omkering = 2nd inversion

- choice between 'root b' of 'root #'

- plays the sound of the chord or scale;

(arranger) ACMP-chords

ACMP = accompaniment

• Cm7: most of the time you can play a Cm; because some inversions will let here a Eb6 (it has the same notes)
• Csus4: to do it save, play it in the root version (c,f,g)
• F/G: it means: F-chord with a G basstone: G7sus4 is a good way of playing it on a home-keyboard (g,c,d,f)
